We were fortunate to be able to go to Knoxville this past weekend to visit with friends and take the boys to a UT football game. We thoroughly enjoyed the trip! Here are the highlights...
This is what Callie did to entertain herself while she was NOT sleeping on the way there & back! ha! She slept a total of 30 minutes during the 6-hr drive there, and 1 hour on the way back. I have to give her credit, though... there was no fussing in the van :)
At the KC parking garage where Daddy used to work... Knoxville has invested a lot in revitalizing its downtown area and it looks fantastic!
On the curb waiting for the band to come down the hill... They were a little late, and the boys got restless waiting, but they had great "seats" when the band finally arrived. The drum section stopped right in front of us and the boys were mesmerized!
A view of the river behind the stadium...
Enjoying the pre-game activities and watching the football game...
During halftime, we took a little break to go find "treats". Here's what's left of the ice treats on our tongues... :)
The boys by the 2nd overtime...
They really were great throughout the whole game. We had excellent seats, and we were across the stadium from the jumbo-tron, so we could see re-plays well, too. Cade informed those around us that he "used to be a football player when he was a grown-up." ha! And when we told Hudson that the game was going into overtime he said, "But I can't take another whole game!" So funny!
David was our "guide" for the day at the game, and he & Carol were kind enough to let us stay at their house for the weekend, too. THANKS SO MUCH!
After the game, Wayne & Jennifer and their girls invited us & other friends over to visit. THANK YOU!!! We had a fun-filled day... Here are the boys within 5 minutes of leaving their house that night... sacked out!

Looks like you guys had fun! Our boys loved it, too. We love East TN and have lots of memories of UT football at Neyland Stadium and Smoky Mountains. Looking forward to making more memories there...
