Brooks' birthday party

Our nephew, Brooks, turned 3-years-old on March 22, and celebrated with a WALL-E party at an inflatable "fun zone" on Saturday, 3-27. A super-fun time was had by all!!!

Here's the birthday boy with his Daddy. Brooks loves to jump, but on this night, he couldn't get enough of playing ball!

Maddox & Wesley had a great time at the party. Wesley really enjoyed sliding!

Callie Jewel made the party, too :)

Wheee! Go Hudson & Cade!

Jesse had a good time at big brother's party

Anybody want to play basketball?

Andi Cate is wearing down...

Check out the presents! Brooks got a lot of nice things & enjoyed playing with his family and friends. He really did have a wonderful party. :)

HAPPY 3rd BIRTHDAY, BROOKS!!!
We love you!

Funny from Hudson

While we were getting ready for the Tennessee basketball game to start Sunday afternoon, Howie was flipping back & forth to a golf channel. During a show about golf equipment, for some reason there were "hula girls" shown with a featured product. They had on the "traditional" hula outfits - you know, coconut tops & grass skirts - and
Hudson said, "Momma, you need to get some brats (bras) like that!"
Yea, right! Ha, ha!

Smart boy

Cade is spending the night with Cacki & Papa tonight, so we just got back from meeting Papa to pick him up. He's been totally wired all morning! He has been so excited about going!
While Howie was getting his seat ready for him in Papa's truck, Cade was bouncing from here to there and everywhere, so Papa came around and was playing with him. All of a sudden, Cade said to Papa, "Hey! Wanna count in Spanish with me?" (Ok, he's been really "into" DIEGO lately, but this was new.) He holds out his five fingers, & points to each as he says, "Uno, dos, tres, quatro, cinco." WOW! I didn't know he could do that! And he does it again. AWESOME!
Howie & I have talked about how smart Cade is, but often his intelligence is overshadowed by his behavior. We couldn't be more proud of him, though :). Cade really is a bright boy.

Solo Sitter

Callie has been working on sitting for a while, but she's just gotten to the point where I feel comfortable walking away from her while she's sitting without her being surrounded by pillows!

Not surprised that this little man caught the bug. He's scheduled for a tonsillectomy in a few weeks. Hopefully then we'll have no more of this!

Boy, he sure looks sick, doesn't he? ha!
He did run fever for 3 days, but he's back to school now!

6 Months Old!

I can't believe how quickly six months has flown by! She's half-way to her first birthday! WOW! And she's growing so much... reaching, "talking", eating fruits & veggies... Callie Jewel really is a happy girl!

6-month stats:
16 pounds, 1 ounce
26 inches long

She's become a tummy sleeper, and always keeps her giraffe close.
So, so precious...
I love these expressions! In the first one, this is when she crinkles her nose & blows. It is absolutely adorable.
She hasn't worn dresses a lot up to this point... She loved grabbing the dress & yanking it up and down.
We got the "Johnny Jumper" down for her the other day. She loves bouncing!

I see teeth!

Although not officially in yet, I see teeth! Callie is a bubble-blowing machine and teething toy mad woman these days!!! By the way she's been acting, I've been thinking for a while that she's GOT to be working on some teeth. Last night, I got my proof! I finally got a good peek and there they were! Callie's two bottom teeth haven't broken through the gum yet, but they're close enough that you can see them just underneath. As exciting as getting her first tooth is, I will soon miss those toothless grins. :)
Had to get a picture of this shirt from a friend at a baby shower! In case you can't make out the words, it says:
"It's really simple... I am a Princess, Mommy is a Queen, and Daddy is really lucky!"
Ha! Too cute!

The Big 4-0

My sister turned 40 on February 21. "Forty & Fabulous" she definitely is! She's a great sister to me & an awesome aunt to her 7 nieces & nephews! She is loved dearly by all of our family & her husband's family, too. There's definitely something to be said to being 40 and happy with where you are in your life & with the people who are a part of your life. You go, Candi!
