Snowing?!

Yes... it snowed. Of course it didn't "stick" because the ground was too warm. It was pretty to watch for a little while, though :)

Howie's Thanksgiving

Over Thanksgiving, Howie went on a hunting trip to Canada with my brother & his brother-in-law. This was Howie's first big hunting trip, and they all had a really good time. It was freezing cold there, though, down to 30 & 40 degrees below at the beginning of the week! Brrr! Howie got this great 10-point buck at the end of the week. He was very proud. The boys were super excited for Daddy, too! They want to know when they're old enough to go :)

Thanksgiving 2010

Thanksgiving is always such a special time of year... a time to count your blessings, a time of generosity & kindness, and a time for family & friends. We missed Daddy while he was gone on his hunting trip this week, but Mommy had a really good week with her three angels. We visited with family & friends, ate wonderful Thanksgiving meals, and just enjoyed being together :)
HAPPY THANKSGIVING, EVERYONE!

Other Little Indians

Hudson also dressed up as a "little Indian" at school...

And here's our 3rd "little Indian" running around & getting into things she shouldn't, I'm sure! ha!

1st Hunting trip

Hudson went on his first hunting trip with his dad this weekend. They went down to my mom's family farm in Savannah. It was muzzleloader season. They didn't shoot anything, but they did see a several does and a few bucks. Hudson was very excited! He did an excellent job sitting in the stand all morning.
Not a great picture, but notice the light on his forehead that his dad found for him to wear. He loved it!
Here's to many more hunting adventures for this young man :)

HAPPY BIRTHDAY, CADE!

The happy, birthday boy at preschool
Ready to celebrate with family... Andi Cate, Hudson, Cade, Brooks
Callie and Jesse sharing a pre-party snack :)
The bonfire, hot dog & marshmallow roast didn't quite work out as planned due to the weather, but we loaded up the trailor (Thanks, Aunt Candi & Uncle Curtis!!) and headed out for a hayride in the pasture nonetheless... a few raindrops & cool wind didn't keep this 4-year-old birthday boy (or his faithful party goers) from the one thing he wanted to do most for his birthday! This truly made him the happiest 4-year-old boy I know :)
Callie & Aunt Lu-Lu
Getting ready for cake!
Cade made sure we all knew that no one else got to blow out the candle - only him - because it was his birthday! :)
Cade got lots of awesome gifts for his birthday... lots of cows & horses, a barn, trucks & trailors, a game, a movie, a cotton picker, some pj's, and a puzzle, too! WOW! He loves playing with everything!
HAPPY 4th BIRTHDAY, CADE!
WE LOVE YOU SO MUCH!
YOU ARE SO FULL OF ENERGY
& YOU HAVE A BEAUTIFUL SMILE!!
YOU ARE ONE OF GOD'S GREATEST
BLESSINGS IN OUR LIVES.

At 14 months...

Oh, my! What a special girl!
At 14 months, Callie has decided she loves to eat! She has a major sweet tooth! She's constantly on the move. She loves playing with her toys, her brother's toys, and whatever else she can get her hands on around the house - remotes, pots & pans, phones, the dog's bowls! ha!
Callie loves the rocking chairs...
...and true to being a girl, she loves shoes! (hers & everybody else's, too!)
Callie likes to put things on & off her head - hats & laundry, too! She also likes to be a little helper - with the dust mop (taking it away from me), putting up forks & spoons (taking them out of the dishwasher before I can & running off), folding laundry (taking clean clothes out of the basket & throwing them on the floor), etc. What fun, what fun we have together!
She officially has at least 9 teeth (hard to see all those molars creeping in!), and her favorite phrase to say, "wassat?" (read: what's that?), with a pointed finger :)
